It’s been quite the fashionable fall, & there’s just too much to talk about, but I’m sure that these top 10 images in my latest gallery are sure to blow away even the most critical of style critics. As signs of autumn have never been more present here on Long Island, it’s impossible not to look to the most buzzed about celebrities without some major fashion envy. Some of the favorites from the last week or so include a dressed downSelena Gomezin a white t-shirt with olive buckled leather pants fromRachel Zoe Collection, gold hoops byMelinda Maria, & black leather sneakers, as well as Oscar-winnerNatalie Portmandonning a cashmere sweater with a silver brocade full skirt byChristian Dior & blackCharlotte Olympia pumps. Also, I’m loving the formal styles of Carrie Underwood‘s beaded blue number byRandi Rahm, Diane Kruger‘s graphic print frock byCushnie et Ochs, &Michelle Williams‘ sleek LBD fromLouis Vuitton.
The world has its eyes on the one & only Kate Middleton, especially since her post-baby appearances have not only inspired new moms, but because her red carpet & street style are continuing to wow fashion critics. Just last week, the Duchess of Cambridge showed her sporty support at a SportsAid Athlete Workshop, wearing a striped Ralph Lauren top, Smythe blazer, J Brand skinny jeans, & Stuart Weitzman wedges. However, the nautical-inspired stripe trend isn’t just for summer & Kate shows this by repeating her look this season.
I’ve been trying to keep an eye out for the latest & greatest in fall shoes, which is why I’m happy to share my new favorites from Julianne Hough‘s new collection for Sole Society. The more time I spend on my feet between both of my jobs & heading to class at night, the more I’m loving all of the flats in my shoe collection.
While Sole Society usually runs up on the high end of price points, I’m crazy about the Hadley sweetheart flats ($64.95) in stucco black, adobe black, French taupe, & jazzberry. I’ve never been a big fan of ankle straps on shoes, but these flats are a little extra special with the delicate patent & suede detail, as well as the open vamps, which recall a sophisticated d’orsay style.
What have you splurged on this fall? What’s your favorite style of ballet flats? Which textures do you prefer when it comes to shoes? Which celebrity fashion collaborations are you most excited to shop? For more from Julianne’s Sole Society collection, check out the Joey bootie, Anneke heel, Jelena pump, & Britton loafer! Happy Styling!
My apologies for such a long absence from the blogosphere. The (geographic) Style Darling headquarters has since relocated & it took much longer than expected to finally get settled. However, I’ve been making the best of my budget, decorating my new digs & being VERY conservative with any style must-haves, which is why I’m so inspired to return to my readers with some amazing, affordable finds!
This includes the knotted faux suede ‘Tait’ boots ($65.00) in black & the woven back top ($21.60) in turquoise, both from Dress Barn. Luckily, I’m a part-time employee of the local store & can reap the benefits of a discount, but I can’t emphasize how much I loooove these pieces! I always have such a hard time finding knee boots that zip all the way up & these are super comfortable (although the 3-inch heel is shorter than I usually wear). Also, I love the jewel tone of the top, which reads as a sweater in the front & a blouse on the way out. Not to mention that its reduced from its original price & is available in sizes Small – 3X!
