There’s no way that at this point in my life that I would be able to afford to spend extravagantly at stores like Bloomingdale’s or Neiman Marcus & I never did previously either- just to clarify. I appreciate fashion & anything artistic, especially with influences like Sex & the City‘s Carrie Bradshaw, TV’s Gossip Girl (the fashion is 10x better than the quality of entertainment on that show- the only reason why I watch), & dazzling actresses like Scarlett Johansson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Eva Longoria, Mandy Moore, Emma Stone, Penelope Cruz, Halle Berry, & Kate Winslet (just to name a few…) who make watching a red carpet a true event in the history of fashion!
As a “fashionista on a budget” as they say, I’m not ashamed of pulling out coupons when shopping a stores like Mandee (great for reasonably priced shoes & accessories if you’re not a Juniors’-size customer) or New York & Company (really classic dresses & feminine cardigans- my favorite items EVER!). Even shopping the clearance & sale racks for end-of-the-season deals will pay off for the following season. I can’t tell you how many great pieces I’ve found for under $20 from stores like Target, H&M, Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, Payless, or Wet Seal that really last in my wardrobe between work, a casual day, or a night out.
As for my own personal style… I’d say that I’m feminine / preppy / sometimes bombshell / sexy library / secretary (thanks Stacey!), but I like to explore each & every style for any reader interested in learning more about the best deals out there & how to find inspiration in even the most luxury of brands, as well as getting to hear about the latest when it comes to what celebrities are wearing.
