Runway Rundown: The Complete Diane Von Furstenberg Spring Summer Ready-To-Wear 2015 Collection From New York Fashion Week!

Diane Von Furstenberg Spring Summer Ready-To-Wear 2015 Collection New York Fashion Week

It feels like social media is bursting with New York Fashion Week updates, as it should be! I’m so excited to see what’s going on, & especially impressed with the debuting Spring Summer Ready-To-Wear 2015 collections. Summer certainly isn’t over yet, & I’m all ready to see my favorite fall pieces come back into rotation, but the black & white trend for spring is very on-trend & inspiring my current wardrobe. So far, my favorite collection comes from Diane von Furstenberg, whose breezy, feminine touch mixes prints with figure-flattering silhouettes & a timeless ease or a Style Darling of any age. Not to mention that the runway featured veteran supermodel Naomi Campbell in the finale look & fashion’s newest it-girl, Kendall Jenner. Also, Victoria’s Secret supermodel, Candice Swanepol, stunned on the catwalk.

Below is a gallery of the complete collection. To shop more from the designer, check out Shop Bop, Nordstrom, YOOX, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, The Outnet, Bergdorf Goodman, & Belk! Happy Styling!

Color Me Style: Now Is All About Navy, Featuring Blake Lively, Marchesa, & More!

Somewhere around the corner is spring, & while Pantone’s color of 2014 is orchid, I’ve been seeing so much navy everywhere. I love the idea of this regal neutral all over the runways for spring, breaking away from basic black to match with other bold hues.

Blake Lively, Rose Byrne, & Kate Mara.

A-list celebs have been embracing navy on the red carpet, including Blake Lively & Rose Byrne in head-to-toe Michael Kors looks straight from the runway. Also, House of Cards actress Kate Mara shows off her feminine & edgy side with the crop top trend in lace Dior separates & pointy toe pumps.

Derek Lam, Rebecca Minkoff, & Marchesa Fall 2014 Ready-To-Wear

Also, navy appeared on the runway during New York Fashion Week in all forms. Navy is perfect for casual wear, the office, & a night out, as seen on Derek Lam, Rebecca Minkoff, & Marchesa. There’s a decadence to the marvelous midnight color, which was shown with futuristic cut-outs, mod layered lines, & romantic drama.

To bring the red carpet & runway to your closet, I’ve found a few must-have pieces that will transition easily from winter-to-spring, including the belted button-front shirtdress ($40.00) from Dress Barn. To wear it now, in the midst of yet another wintry snow storm here in New York, coordinate this with tights, knee boots, & a chunky boyfriend sweater.

Dress @Dress Barn $40.00, Peasant Top @Forever 21 $22.80, Top @H&M $17.95, Pants @New York & Company $52.95.

Top off your favorite skinny jeans, pencil skirt, or tuxedo pants with the daydreamer peasant top ($22.80) from Forever 21 & H&M‘s lace top ($17.95). Lastly, get rid of those old, boring pants & trade them in for New York & Company‘s 7th Avenue bootcut pants ($52.95) in windowpane print. Mix up your look with a cashmere sweater, embroidered cardigan, or studded vest.

Black Friday is all about getting the best deals on holiday gifts, but why not treat yourself to something special this season? The perfect go-to look for upcoming parties, family celebrations, & gatherings with friends is a little black dress, much like these flirty & elegant choices worn by A-list celebrities like Jennifer Lopez in DSquared, Kristen Bell‘s cut-out zip-up dress, & Natalie Portman‘s red carpet Dior look.

Nail art is about to get a whole lot sexier with the new launch of Victoria’s Secret’s latest collection of nail polish. For $10 a bottle, you can wear the same brilliant & elegant shades that were seen on the runway at last month’s Victoria’s Secret fashion show.

Courtesy of InStyle, I was able to scope out the entire collection which ranges in soft feminine hues, classic mattes, & sparkling glitter shades, perfect for day & date. My favorites include Steal the Show, Break the Rules, & Drama Queen. Additionally, there are loads of potential for fingertip fun with Boudoir, Backstage, & No Strings. Quickie Darling Deal & Steal: Victoria’s Secret Pajama’s Are Up To 40% Off!

Victoria's Secret sleep sale

Normally, this would be a post for Sale of the Week, but there’s just so much going on right now in terms of sales that I wanted to feature it on Style Darling‘s main blog page.  I rarely post about sleepwear, only b/c it’s never something that I think about when it comes to my wardrobe.  Sometimes I’ll wear a matching set, but most of the time, I’m dreaming in mismatched separates, including worn leggings & comfy layers of pullovers & tanks.  However, Victoria’s Secret is getting me in the pajama mood with their big sleep sale, with pajamas up to 40% off, along with separates, nighties, & slippers.

I’m featuring three of my favorite sets, which will surely help with starting off some healthy sleep habits for the new year.  This includes the pillow talk tank pajama ($29.99) in grey animal, dreamer flannel pajama ($29.99) in mint ice lurex plaid, & cotton mayfair pajama ($29.99) in leopard.  These comfy sets are also available in other colors & patterns, perfect for coordinating with other separates for those days when you’re curling up in front of the fire, reading a good book.

Also, whenever I’m at home, I can always been seen in my slippers- not just to protect my feet from the hard surfaces around the house, but also b/c they’re always cold! The cozy fleece slippers ($19.99) are only available in lilac frost, spring orchid, & red alert.  Also, the pillow talk slippers ($9.99) in pink plaid are a feminine way to accessorize, but if you’re looking for something backless, then I recommend the dreamer flannel slipper ($9.99), which is available in over a dozen different patterns.

Which pajamas do you like the best? Do you prefer matching sets are creating your own combinations? How much are you willing to spend on sleepwear? Happy Styling!
